Goodbye Swarthmore, hello world. I'm out of the institution and need work to earn money to pay off loans. :-( I am at a loss on what to really do with my life, although I think I am getting a direction. I also hate the "new" Blogger. It sucks. I hate the new comments, Blogger bar, and dashboard. Google made Blogger suck. I hate you now Google. You truly are evil.
I have to post about my conspiracy theory on China and the genetic engineering of their athletes, but I'll do it tomrorow. I just wanted to say that I love Tepal on Enterprise. She kicks ass and if I like women I would so be into her. but I don't like her large breasts, but I find her strong character appealing and her humor is the best. She's the funniest Vulcan ever and the most amusing on the whole ship. I've been watching a lot of Enterprise and I don't see why it had a bad rep. It's cheesey, but all shows are in their first season, I just hope it doesn't get worse in second season. well, it's late and I want to sleep. Oh Fiesta is interesting. I will have to complain about it later bwcause my brain is shutting down. Actually, it's been down for a while.
I was struggling to find April Fool's day pranks that were funny and not mean, but I find that my whole humor is mean sarcastic humor. Also, all of my pranks would have been illegal and gotten me arrested in at least 30 states. ;-)
So I had a conversation with Danielle on the problems of modern society. I can say that I am very much for individual rights and decisions. I don't believe in organized religion and believe that it is a personal relationship between you and whatever higher form you believe in. Organized religion is often too conformative, hypocritical, dogmatic, and often times wrong. I don't think God cares who we bugger as long as we aren't killing each other. I began thinking that there isn't a solution for the destruction of morality and ethics in this society. For it would be against my personal beliefs to impose a blanket code of conduct on society. This is quite a conundrum. You can't make society better on a large scale without infringing on personal belief systems. Being the diverse creatures that we are we are set with a pattern of differing views and are essentially going to kill each other in the pursuit of individual freedom or lose all indentity in a governemnt or society wide imposed crackdown on behavior. Sounds bad. A lose-lose situation. I don't know if I'm pessimistic or just realistic. Man, the future sort of depresses me. On the bright side, we'll be dead before the planet goes to hell. Hopefully...
But don't take my word for it. I come from the viewpoint that humans are essentially bad, but there are many in the school of thought we believe we are good beings. So to everyone out there I say, "Prove me wrong people. Prove me wrong."
