Goodbye Swarthmore, hello world. I'm out of the institution and need work to earn money to pay off loans. :-( I am at a loss on what to really do with my life, although I think I am getting a direction. I also hate the "new" Blogger. It sucks. I hate the new comments, Blogger bar, and dashboard. Google made Blogger suck. I hate you now Google. You truly are evil.

It's Thursday and Turkey day, so is it Turkey Thursday?

Anyway, as there has been some debate upon the taking of days, we should have some clarification. Does ownership of the day go back to first use or most recent acquisition? Granted I haven't done a Thursday since July, but I don't see why it's grounds for someone else to claim it. There are still other days left that have never been claimed. Anyway, I guess it's not that important, but I did have it first.

I think I need more turkey.

On another note. My model is finished so thus I'm finished with my Set Design class. I have not written my 25 page paper yet and I need to during break :-( Being home is wonderful because friends are wonderful. Plus normal food kicks ass! I saw Love Actually and it was cute and all, but a bit disappointing, thus furthering the lesson of if you don't have expectations nothing can disappoint you. Well, I hate dial up and I need to clear the phone line. Have a wonderful triptophan filled day. Yum!

I don't know what it is, but when I see the light at the end of the tunnel, everything comes crashing down on me and it's dark again. It's going to be a hellish month. Grrr. I have a 1/4" model due Sunday and 25 pages due on December and I'm still refining my topic AHAHAHAHAHAAAHHHH!

Other than that, I guess everything is alright. I'll be home next Tuesday! YEA! But I'll be working on a paper :-( Boo! So I'll see you folks for Thanksgiving and we;ll go yarn shopping so I can knit wonderful things for you like cocksocks. Until then don't eat the lobster.

Oh Yeah. It's Truthful Thursday.
Today's thought:

You suck and smell really bad. Take a shower already.
Damn hippees....

You know the times in life when there is absolute clarity and something meaningful comes out? I had an epiphany.

Everything is relative...
Take things in stride and for what they are. In the end it won't matter because our significance is nil. But that too is relative.

I suppose my main thought is that you make your own meaning in life.

I should sell greeting cards.

I'm feeling phopetic, or maybe it's just gas.

I realised that I have accomplished one of my goals in life. I have been and live in England, especially London, and that has been a goal of mine since high school. I knew 5 years ago that that is what I wanted. I still have things to do on my list.

Lan and I were analyzing herself and the people here. We came up with some interesting conclusions about Swarthmore. Wondering how you fit in and how things work fascinates me. I like analyzing the world, especially the people. I consider myself a fair judge of character and I draw a lot of conclusions from first impressions. I also do a lot of self-reflection. It's what's I'm doing most of the time. I think a lot and that fuels my indecisiveness.

You do know I love you. Hell, I might even die for you. Loyalty and honesty are deal makers for me. I don't ever want to lose you. I don't think I could let go. I will try to be here for you, I'm only human. Who are you? The vague beauty of second person. Just a hint, it's second person plural.

Picture # 4 is officially my yearbook pic and I also bought the cap and gown pic (#2?) where I'm facing forward. I forgot the number and I'm too lazy to look it up so deal. The new Harry Potter movie trailer is up for those of you who care. It should be good becuase it's coming from the third book, my favourite, and from the director of that soft core porn movie. Anyway, work sucks, but I'll be home in less than two weeks. Swarthmore is trying its hardest to kill me, but that doesn't make sense. If they kill me, how will they get me to give money to them as an alum?

VOTE NOW!

For my yearbook photo. I need your opinion and I also posted some new pics on my web site. God, I almost forgot about it. So, take a look at the yearbook pics and e-mail me to let me know, or leave an IM. Feel free to explore the site, but there's not much there. I did post some pics from Swarthmore and of course there are Italy pictures from HS. It's old site so bear with me. Is that the right bear to use? Anyway, I love the theme from Star Trek: First Contact, don't you? (You better!) Also indicating the outdatedness of this site, I still liked Sting. God, don't we all remember that phase of my life!

Anyway, if you get bored, there is always my old site where you can relive high school through my twisted eyes.

I will try to scan in and post up some more Swarthmore pics. I developed two rolls of film and they should be ready tomorrow. I will also try to get Mike's digital pictures from Dea's Halloween party. It was spankalicious!

And to all of you thinking "Shouldn't Jennifer be working and not doing web stuff?" FUCK YOU! ;-)

I don't want to talk about work. Instead I will discuss something else.

While shopping for Dea's Birthday present Lan and I (mostly me) were thinking about life skills that everyone needs. I think that we should teach a year long course on life. It should be mandatory for HS and it would consist of basic cooking, sewing, knitting, manners and etiquette, and car maintenance. It should also include mini-internships where students would gain experience in retail (which blows ass), food service, and janitorial services. People don't appreciate these services and treat people like crap, but I feel that if they experiences the shittiness of these jobs they will think twice before being an ass in stores or messy. I want people to understand the value of labor, it's takes a fucking long time to knit things, and by experiencing these things, perhaps we could get a long better in the world. This class is mainly targeted at the upper classes of society. I think the middle class would also get a lot from this class. People don't understand labor and value and it's annoying. Had I not worked retail this summer, I would never know how much it blows ass. Kids don't understand these things. Also I'm bound to get screwed over on car repair because I'm a woman and a minority! I'm not saying that we should all become experts, but know enough to know when you're getting screwed up the ass majorly. So that's the class I propose. I doubt it will happen, but perhaps I can take steps to make it possible. I would have taken a life skills class in HS, but the home economics class was a joke and I didn't have time to take auto shop. I should have though, and I wish I did. But who had 4 classes to take them, other than those on the vocational track. Are there any life skills that you think we should learn?

Anyway, I have lot of work to try to do. My class was canceled because of prof illness, which is good, but now we have to make up the class later. :-(
