Tomorrow I will be home! Well, it will be tomorrow night, but whatever right? Woo Hoo. I've been having dreams about home so it's about time I get my lazy bum back to Texas.

I saw Matrix Reloaded last night and I must admit I like X-Men 2 better. Sacraficiing plot for special effects isn't cool, and while at times breaktaking, the special effects weren't that great overall. We've seen it all and even video games have been using Matrix like effects with better results. Also what the hell was up with the dancing scene. The beginning was soo boring and the ending sucked. Some parts were really cool and until everyone I know has seen the movie I won't give away any spoilers. Speaking of spoilers... season 2 of 24 ends with... Just kidding ricky. I haven't even seen a trailer here. Some people were trying to get me to watch the last episode of season 2's 24, but I told them that you would never forgive and also I didn't know what was going on in the first place. It was funny because I told them I liked 24 and that I had seen some of the first season. I told them that I was at 9 o'clock, and they were like oh so you have seen most of it and then I said 9 a.m., and they all laughed and said that I wasn't far at all. I told them that I knew what happened at the end because I read somr article on accident. Anyway, I will be home tomorrow and I will get to see my dog. Hopefully we will all meet up tomorrow night and do somethign before Melissa leaves on Wednesday :-(

I have so many rolls of film to develop that I want to cry. Maybe Druck can get me a photo discount at Target ;-)

Lots to tell you all, but I will see you tomorrow. Hooray!

Hey people it's Truthful Thursday, but first a word from our sponsers.

I'm just returned from Paris and I must admit I like the city, the people not so much. My french wasn't that bad, but still bad. I wish I had retained more or learned more while at Swarthmore. So, I will do a proper post when I get homew because frankly my time is all but gone and I have lots to do in London before I leave. I haven't done a damn touristy thing here and I plan to do it in 2 days. Wish me luck.

I finished The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and I liked it. One of Chabon's better works, but the ending seemed to run out of steam. One of the gfuys was gay too. Weird theme of homosexuality running through the books I've been reading lately. Anyway, will review it later with the lines I liked best.

I packed to go home before I left for Paris. I'm really ready to come home. You'll only here this a few times coming from me, but I missed Texas! Anyway, I'm really hungry so I better wrap this up.

So here's the story of the day. While enroute to the Opera House in Paris, an old man thinking, I was his wife, who was walking behind me, grabbed my ass. C'est vrai ou faux?

I need food. MMmmm

I come home next Sunday. But before that I'm off to Paris Monday-Thursday. Oh-la-la!

I was in Bath yesterday and it was pretty cool to see the Roman baths that were in our Latin textbooks. I took pictures and Teresa and I chilled at her flat because it was raining. Big surprise. Then went to a freakishly early dinner at Ask, where the business cards spelled George Street Geroge Street.

All in all it was pretty lax. I started reading Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, which is turning out to be an excellent read. I will post some of the more notable quotables of the book tomorrow. I'm really enjoying it and Chabon's writing is so... well, intelligent. It's a much better book than Wonder Boys, and Kavalier and Clay shows the growth of his writing. It's also cool because I've been to Praha and I know the places in the book as well a limited grasp of German. I will post a reveiw when I finish, but it's an exciting read on the par with Chaim Potok's coming of age Jewish boy stories. It's really good.

I watched a great Cary Grant film on Thursday. It was one of the Hitchcock films he did with Grace Kelly called To Catch a Thief. I have now seen all 4 Cary Grant/Alfred Hitchcock films! I will now rank them from best to not the best because none of them were really bad. So my favourites are: 1) North by Northwest 2) Suspicion 3) To Catch a Thief 4) Nortorious. I liked them all, but you know. Cary Grant is wonderful, but I was trying to finish Some like it Hot and Tony Curtis's Cary Grant impression is dead on and soo fucking hilarious. Only Cary Grant could pull off that accent without people laughing at him.

On another literary and film note, there seems to be talk of another Hannibal Lecter prequel that is to detail his young life. Although it would be fascinating to see what caused Lecter to turn to cannibalism, I feel that a book and especially film cannot fully encapsulate and explain the psychology and trauma behind his life. I think it's a subject better left unspoiled and for personal speculation only. But hopefully I am wrong and that Thomas Harris will write a book worthy to bear the Lecter name. Please let me be wrong.

I can't wait to see Matrix Reloaded, but I will. I'm going to probably watch it in Texas. I am going to see X-2 again when I come back because it's a kick ass movie. I watched the orginal Matrix last night, so I'm all briefed for the sequel. I spent last night watching South Park and Family Guy. It's been so freaking long since I've seen Family Guy on television, so I was really excited. it was the episode where Peter teaches Cleveland junior to play golf. It was soo funny. I finally remembered Joe's son's name, Kevin, and I forgot that Cleveland had a son. I love Family Guy. :-)

Hmm, I think I better start limiting my cussing. It's pretty bad and it's been geting worse here in London. I wonder why. I can't cuss if I have kids around. ;-)

Well, you better comment or I'm going to come home and beat all your lousey asses!

I'M DONE!!!!!

So, I finished my last exam and now I'm free. I come home in 10 days and I'm looking forward to my trip to Paris on Monday :-) Tonight I'm going on the London Eye and I'm off to see Teresa in Bath tomorrow. :-) Thi weekend I plan to do the touristy things in London, or perhaps sleep since I'm still sick and I don't want to be ill in Paris.

Anyway, it's Truthful Thursday

I eat my own semen.

You decide.

It's Lunchtime. FYI: there is no connection between Lunch and Truthful Thursday.

BLogger chooses such crap sites for blogs of note that I have boycotted looking at them. Until the quality is improved screw them.

Anyway, Ireland was freaking awesome. The people are so nice and the accents oh soo easy on the ears. Cork was nice, and we went to Blarney Castle where I kissed the Blarney Stone. I have a cold now, but I think I got sick because of the crazy irish weather. It was cold/hot/rainy/dry in no particular order and combination. I also didn't bring enough warm clothes because it's been so warm in London lately and Ireland isn't that far away... BAD THINKING. So I alternated from freezing to burning up, so all in all I'm not really surprised that I have a cold. It only bothers me because I am taking a final on Thursday :-(

Dublin was really cool and Yelle and I went to the Old Jameson Distillery and the Guinness Brewery. We both finished our pints at Guinness and the double shot of Jameson, which is oh so smooth. The Jameson didn't do much to us because we had a nice lunch at Flannagans on O'Connell Street, which was mentioned in Tom Clancy's book Patriot Games. It's the only book that I liked of his. His boooks have way too much detail, kind of Hugoesque in that regard, but Patriot Games was fast paced and really exciting. I can't say the same about Debt of Honor, which I never finished because it went no where in the first 200 pages. Also the only reason I finished Clear and Present Danger was because I saw the movie first. The Guinness on the other hand, well, let's just say we were a bit dizzy after the pint. We had a very light breakfast and well, yeah. FYI, You can smell the Barley and Hops outside the Brewery for a mile or two. It's can be nice, Barley smells nice, or it can smell like wet beans, which isn't so nice. Anyway, Ireland is wonderful and the people are the nicest in Europe. All in all Ireland was great fun and I didn't run into Joanne :-)

Oh yes, it's Thursday.

Truthful Thursday

So, in the Admissions office there's a secretary named Bernie. She is really nice, but overly concerned with my well-bein, physical and spiritual. By spiritual, she asked me if I believed in God and I was like, eh. Maybe. And she was soo concerned and was like Jennifer, you have to believe in God! I am now her little heathen that needs to be saved for the depths of hell. I felt somewhat bad after letting her think that I didn't believe in God... Anyway, she doesn't like me to strain myself by picking up heavy boxes, which are really not heavy. If you have ever tried to pick up the boxes that my stuff is stored in at Swat, you would know heavy. Well, she also wears these shoes that make her trip on the carpet and I make fun of her endlessly. But, my favourite prank I like to pull on Bernie is to pretend to fall. it scared her so much and it's a right laugh. (No wonder I'm going to the 7th circle of Hell) There's this one slippery patch of floor in the basement of Parrish that Bernie always tells me to be careful walking over. So, what do I do? I stamp my foot and stumble, which scares her and gives the impression that I'm falling. It's really so funny. Anyway, other than doing that, I like to rearrange her toys on her computer and make them do lewd things or disapear for a little while. It makes her think that she's going crazy. I find that funny.

So there really isn't a "Did I do it?" thing this week because it's all true, and pretty damn funny too. Well, if you're evil like me that is.

Oh yeah, last week's story was true too. I remember getting in trouble for hitting someone with my shoe and I had to sit in a chair for a while. I fell asleep on some chairs before midnight, but that was after dancing on an empty dance floor in front of lots of poeple while there was some band playing. I wasn;t dancing so much as playing and making fun of some boy. I don't remember what really happened, but it was along those lines. All in all, a good night.

Since Kelsie's STUPID Comment board doesn't allow more than 3,000 characters here are my results for the Dante's Inferno Test.

So today is "Willie Catchup" day. (Damn Algebra books) Anyway, here's a collection of stuff that I've been meaning to post for along time, but I either kept forgetting or I was just too lazy to do it. So, let's start with the not so entertaining to you, but kind of funny to me stuff. You guessed it.

It's Harry time!

Subj: Exam Timetables

Ok folks, time for a stampede.

You can collect your exam timetables from the Admissions Office,
Room CB02, Queens Building.

If I am not here, remind the person you speak to that you also need
a copy of the blue notes.

Please note, your tiemtable will contain exam details for ALL
classes you are registered for - you may have been told that for a
particular class you do not need to do an exam - but the exam
details will still be on your sheet. You can ignore these but please
do double check with individual departments to ensure you are not
expected at the exam.

See you in about 30 seconds.

Harry Gibney

__________

Subj: Stuff

Hello folks,

Some of you may have clothing that you will not be taking home with you when you
leave. If you want, you can leave this with me and I will take it to a local homeless
charity, the Spitalfields Trust in Roman Road.

I'll be out of the office this afternoon but back in on Monday if anyone needs any help.
Perhaps by then, Arenal will have tried to rectify the complete pigs ear they have
made of winning the Championship.

I hope the exams are going well.

Best

Harry Gibney
Associate Student Officer

______

Yeah, I don't really get Harry's obsession with Arsenal, it's only footie after all.

Survived that? Good, because here are some weird dreams and bad ideas I've been having.

Dream Scheme

1 - I had a dream where I was in a store and I bought a pair of Marc Jacobs' boots for $4,100. They were fuzzy black boots with heels and they had moon and stars decorations. I remember when I was buying them, that theyw ere on sale and in the middle of my purchse I wanted to exchange them for some Prada or Guicci sling backs or something because it was spring and boots are a winter thing. Anyway, I don't get the dream and I was very confused afterwards. Why would I spend $4,000 on shoes when I could buy a computer?

2 - I was in Jim's and I was very angry that I wasn't being served. I had been sitting at a table for like half an hour and other poeple that came in after me had already gotten their food. I remember that my mom and a pari of siamese twins named Jennifer, why they had one name don't ask me, who had one body, but two heads were with me. I remember getting really pissed off at the waiter and telling him that I wanted to speak to his manager and that I was NEVER going to eat there again because of the lousy service. I was so angry that I was about to cry. Anyway, I don't remember much after that. I do hate getting bad service because I'm young. I HATE Age discrimination, especially at airports. I just hate airports in general.

3 - I had a dream that I was at Swat and that I had just had eye transplant. They removed the coloured portion of my eyes and gave me new irises and such. I remember that I had gotten blue eyes. It was really weird because for the first time in a long time I could see perfectly without glasses or contacts. The weird thing was that they didn't finalise the surgery or somethign so that I could move the new portion of my eyes. Like it would slip out of focus because it wasn't sewn properly or something. Talk about freaky. It was wonderful though and I was really happy and amazed at how clear the world was. I was on Magill walk and it was spring I think. Anyway, could you imagine me with blue eyes?

4 - This has to be the weirdest dream in a while. I somehow ran into Mr. Led (very bad idea), and I remember telling him that I was sorry for invading his privacy. So I told him that if he wanted to talk aboutanything I would listen. Anyway, it got onto the topic of his sexuality and how he was gay and everything. I don't remember where we were, but I remember that we kept getting interupted everytime he was about to tell me that he was gay. Like I didn't know that already! Anyway, it was a very weird dream. Guilt ridden. I think I feel really really bad about the whole Graham/Marc/Ted/Wesley thing. Anyway, like Ricky said, Mr. Led will never put his and Dale's name on a house deed together again. He learned the hard way and paid for it. Considering the information that we had, he should have been proud of us for not outing him. Can you imagine what we could have done? Anyway, I'm not evil because it's not like I ever tried to blackmail him and we didn't tell anyone until we graduated, well except for Erin. We were good, and by we i mean Ricky and I because we were both involved, right LIA?

So, enough dreaming. How about some real life and bad things I think about?

First, things that have happened. A while back when my sleeping patterns were really fucked up I was having dizzy spells that would start in my legs. It felt like my legs were swaying and then it moved up and felt like my body was swaying back and forth, but it wasn't. Then it moved up to my head and I felt dizzy. It was vertigo and I though of Mrs. Etheredge. She was wrong, vertigo is cool. ;-)

Random thoughts

-I want velcro shoes and a giant velcro wall. Would I fall off the wall?

-I also designed the ultimate rec room. I put in a velcro wall and the other 3 walls are climbing walls. I also want to install monkey bars and things that swing from the ceiling!

-If I had pyschic powers like telepathy and telekinesis I would read other people's mionds and trick them into thinking that they had pyschic powers. I would read their minds and if they were concentrating on moving an object with their minds, (Yes, I do this a lot) I would use my powers to move it for them so that they think they have telekinetic powers. Isnt' that cruel? Imagine if someone did that to me...

-I wish I could fly like a bird. I have even practised flapping my arms until they hurt, but I think I need feathers or soemthing.. I can fly in my dreams and it so kicks ass. You should try it.

Phrases to note

-To the quick
-quiet desperation
-quiet panic
-impending doom
-it's too quiet
-quiet stillness

Does quiet equal disaster?

*Note that the word sadfully doesn't exist here and that tedious means boring.

It's Thursday and since no one is keeping up with the weekly listing shit anyway, it doesn't matter what day it is. So Traveling Thursday is a bit lame and no one undertsands it, so I'm changing it to Truthful Thursday. It's a day where I will pose a situation from my life and you say if it's a lie or if I'm telling the strange truth. If I can't think of a story, then I'll just bitach about something or someone. Sounds good? I thought so ho.

Truthful Thursday

I was about 10 years old when my parents took me to a New Year's Eve party at some place for the Asian community or soemthing. Anyway, if you're a girl you'd understand that the coolest thing about getting older is that you can wear dress shoes that don't have that annoying strap across the top of the foot. Well, the training shoes for strapless dress shoes is to have shoes with the strap that is able to be move, so you can push the strap to the back of the shoe and create a strapless shoe. Girls, you understand. Anyway, I had this shoes and being the active tyke that I was, I was dancing around and high kicking in my dress. I was ten, you know. So I happened to high kick in the direction of the hugh buffetline and guess what happened? Yep, my shoe flew off like a rocket and hit this Asian lady in the neck. :-O It gets worse, I had to go over and retrieve my shoe from her. If looks could kill, I wouldn't be here right now...

So do you think this really happened? Tune in next week where I might reveal the real answer if I remember the question.
